The Cabin......

This delightful cabin is situated in a forest surrounding on the grounds of the main house. Designed after a North American Ski Cabin, it has everything to make you feel like you are in a luxury ski cabin. Tastefully decorated with antique snow shoes, skiis, Fallow deer antlers, and cow skin hides as rugs, you will feel like you are away from it all, while you relax and take in the beautiful Welsh scenery. A walk out deck completes the feel, with a table and chairs for you to enjoy the outdoors.

Kitchen is complete with an electric oven and ceramic hob, over head extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer to accommodate all your needs while you are away.

Bedroom is a studio style, where the family share the main room. A beautiful hand made one of a kind double bed adds a taste of rustic luxury to this room. A bunk bed, and a single bed, complete the sleeping quarters. (A sixth person could be accommodated on the oversized couch!) A cot is available on request.

Lounge has a t.v. and dvd player, with freeview channels so bring along some of your own favourite movies to settle into at the end of your day!

Access to the cabin is from the main car park. There is a shale/slate path all the way to the cabin, entering via the deck. This is

all up hill, only a small grade, but unfortunately would be unsuitable for anyone in a wheelchair!

We are very family friendly, however we are unable to accommodate pets. Strictly non Smoking.

How to find us:

By Road:

From the North- M6,M56 Queensferry; A550,A55 Llandudno Junction; A470 Betws-y-Coed, A5 for 100 meters (Llangollen) turn right for A470 Dolgellau for 4 miles. House is on the right hand side.

From the South-M6,M54,A5 Shrewsbury, Llangollen, just before Betws-y-coed turn left on A470 (Dolgellau) for 4 miles. The Youth Hostel is located alongside the A470 just after the large playing field.

By Rail:

Main-line services via Chester to Llandudno Junction, then Conwy Valley Line to Pont-y-Pant Station 3/4 mile (request stop).

Turn left from the station then left again after stone road bridge along the main road (care should be taken when on the main road since there is only part pavement). On Sunday there are 2 buses a day instead of the train.
